When I shut down my computer for the evening I get a dialog box with an error you know the one like a credit card number 20 digits or more Well I would love to post the error but the problem is it doesn't stay long enough on the screen to read it and write it down. I have hit the pause key bu that doesn't do any good it just shuts down. I would probably need to shut down for the next month to get a digit at a time to get the entire error code. so far I have been able to catch ox1 ----------that would be zeros not sure how many, but I was able to get these numbers after several shut down. the numbers I was able to see which I am sure don't help much. But maybe someone can direct me to some place that would provide the error message. I am not a computer guru, but I try. So this is what I have to date which is not much. 0x1 unknown number of zeros and not sure what may be after 2984. It also looks like there is another set of number and I am not sure it it just a repeat or a different number. My computer seem to be running OK but it's one of those thing that bug us old people. I tried a screen capture but that didn't work either. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Then when I resolve this issue if possible I have a windows XP Pro update issue also on the wife's computer. She won't let me up-grade to 7 as she is afraidher games she plays since back in win 98 won't work. I have to live with her so I don't mess with it for now. Thanks in advance. The game she use is called Hoyle Card Games. I think it came out in the 1800
