If you are talking about IE, then you can add IE Spell Checker. Click the Download link on the left side of the web page. This add on to IE seems to work well for me. It works the same as the spell checker in other browsers.

    No problem Tex..
Just install it and it works as an add on in IE.

As you type it highlights any misspelled words automaticly and then you RIGHT CLICK on the word and it gives you the words that you can use to replace the misspelled word.

    It's pretty much automatic..
Just read the help file...You can also choose how you want the misspelled words highlighted.

Also, any words that show as misspelled, like name of people etc. you can add to the dictionary so they don't get flagged again the next time you use them.

I liked Iespell but it hasn't been updated in a long time and while it works it doesn't highlight the words like it once did in older IE versions

That is exactly how IE Spell works as well. It has worked fine for me both in Win 7 and Win 8 RP. I have never tried Speckie as IE Spell worked so well. See that I just mis-spelled that word and IE Spell underlined it and told me it was wrong.

I know Ted...They work the same way.
But, Iespell doesn't highlight the words in IE 9 with W7..

I still use Iespell it in XP and it works fine there

I just got to use it for the first time by not capitalizing my first name so I like it already.

Thought I'd throw this in, even though you have been talking about IE9. IE10 has Spell Check in it which, y'all prolly already know.
