    Office Shortcut Bar: Go Away!

I just upgraded to XP, and am liking it a lot. However, in playing around with it, I installed the Office Shortcut Bar, and now I can't figure out how to uninstall. It does not appear on the Add/Remove Programs box in Control Panel, and there seems to be no way to turn it off. One other weird note, I upgraded on top (replacing) Win 98se, and it wasn't entirely successful, I had to rebuild My documents, etc. (all the files survived, but I had to move them back into My documents) Anyway, both Word (97) and Excel are working, on the start menu, and even on the dreaded Shortcut Bar. They are not in Add/Remove Programs, though. Isn't that weird?

If you close the Shortcut bar, you are asked a question that is or is not as follows:

Do you waht the toobar to start on the startup of windows? yes or No

If you select NO it will NOT startup on the next reboot.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

This would be helpful if I could figure out a way to close the shortcut bar. There is no such obvious choice by right clicking and getting the dialog box. If I try to "unchoose" all of the various toolbars (desktop, office, etc) I get an error message that at least one must be selected. I looked on the taskbar, and no choices there, either. Still confused

Right click the left end of the Toolbar where the little 'red, blue, yellow and green' box is, and then select "Exit".

FWIW you might look in the user's Start MenuProgramsStartup folder for the Office Shortcut Bar icon.
