    IE10 for Windows 7

Interesting Article on Computerworld Regarding the complete lack of information from Microsoft on IE10 for Windows 7.
I find it very strange. Comments?

Microsoft is becoming increasingly secretive. It seems as though everything is focused forward on Windows 8 and its associated products. We'll all just have to be patient and see what comes.

With all the leaking that has gone on over the years, perhaps MS has learned how to keep things quiet. I would certainly believe that at some point in time IE 10 will be made available for Win 7. Remember though that IE 10 is in beta as well. There are a couple of minor irritations with it as well.

Understood but that was one of the points the article made. How can Microsoft find and fix issues if there is no Beta for Win 7?
it seems to me that IE9 was in Beta for many months before they released it.
I guess there is no use in speculating. Microsoft will let us know when they are ready.

But the beta IE is being tested and worked on, in the beta Win 8 RP. I suspect MS wishes it to be ready for prime time before they release it for Win 7. We're all guessing at this point.

Personally, I believe a Win7 version is being completed & likely will be pushed out as a Windows Update by or before the time Win8 goes RTM.

That seems to be a reasonable assumption at this point.
