    MSN (Hotmail) mail in Outlook

A friend was using Hotmail to access her MSN mail. She wanted to start using Outlook 2003 to access it. I set it up, but was surprised to see that the folder structure she had created online for storing emails was not synced to Outlook, it just put all the emails into her Outlook Inbox. On my Hotmail account that I access in Windows Live Mail, it recreates all the folders, so expected Outlook to do the same.

Any idea why this might have happened?

    Thanks

OK thanks. I had hoped to get back over there to try that this week, but it never happened. I expect to go next week.

Has Outlook Connector been reliable for users? I seem to remember reading about problems people were having, so I've avoided using it.

    Thanks

Can't say the connector is the best software ever written, but it works. From time to time, you can go and clean the synchronization errors that will inevitably crop up, but it will do its job reasonably well.
