You should be able to uninstall it, as any other app, from the Control Panel. You probably will also need to change your homepage. Do you know how to do that?

    Hi Rui
Thanks for the reply. This alot was downloaded with A PDF converter which I uninstalled as it was,nt what I was looking for. The alot just stayed behind.
I have changed my homepage and it does not appear anymore. However is it still not lurking somewhere on my system?
    Any further help please.
    Regards

You are probably OK now. You probably missed an option in the PDF converter that was checked by default to "Make my Homepage Alot". It wouldn't hurt to run Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org) just to be sure. A lot of freeware contains options during setup like this that install toolbars and trial software as well as homepage highjacking.

    Hi Dave,

It is possible that it is still there, yes. To remove it, you will have to do it through your Control Panel. Alot provides info on how to do it, too: http://www.alot.com/appbar/uninstall.

If you find it in control panel, remove it as explained. If not, then it will already be gone.
