    Outlook 2007 won't send automaticly

On a Windows 7 computer with Office 2007, Outlook won't send until "Send/Receive" is clicked. I have checked the setting and all appears to be set correctly. It all worked fine until a few days ago and I can't recall installing or adjusting anything that would have made a difference. I have unchecked all appropriate options and closed Outlook, reopened it and reset the options but nothing seems to have changed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

To make sure Outlook delivers mail immediately, Select Tools | Options... from the menu, go to the Mail Setup tab and make sure Send immediately when connected is checked.

Also, check if Outlook is in offline mode.
Don't have 2k7 here, but in earlier versions it was File/Work offline. If there is a checkmark there it is in offline mode and will only send when you hit send/receive.
