    Excel 2010 Locked Printing Inconsistencies

I am having a problem with printing that impacts Excel most often. This happens in other applications as well, including Internet Explorer, but Excel is the major culprit.

Over 20 of us print to the same printer in my office. I have my printer preference set to locked print, so all of my jobs should store in the printer, a Ricoh Aticio printer / copier / scanner / fax machine. I should have to input my password for anything to print. That works roughly 95 percent of the time.

I can send three Excel spreadsheets and a couple of Access query results to the printer and one spreadsheet will print without being locked. Or maybe it's one of the queries. Or I can send a single item and maybe it will lock, maybe it won't. Maybe an Outlook message will or won't print.

There's no consistency in what is or is not escaping the print lock.

Any ideas? I am not the only person experiencing this issue.

    Thanks!

    Nancy

Sounds like a printer issue to me, not an Excel one. I suggest you talk to whomever supports your printers.
