Are you asking for login info for a fire wall, or to login to the web query web page, or server?

What login state are you asking about?

    Hi Wassim,
There are certain sites that we get privileged information from. The password information that I am referring to is to the data source site. When queried by Excel I get the "Please enter your Login and Password below" screen as returned data. <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

Try and log on manually and see if the login info is part if the URL. Some times it is. So you will use the same technique to send the login info, by including them in the URL string.

    Wassim,
That seems to be working but only if the browser is set to retain passwords, it seems. Have had different results on different computers. Who knows....Thank you for your insight! Now for my next trick....I will try to figure out how to address a cgi script in the URL that needs a date included.
