Set Language (word97)

I am creating a template in which I have used forms wherever I want users to enter data. I realize that I can't spell-check while the document is protected, however when I un-protect and spell check, it doesn't check any of the forms. I thought this had somehting to do with setting the language, so I tried selecting the form and setting the language, but when I go back to the language, it's reset to blank. Any ideas??

You can actually spell check a protected form using VBA. Check out How to enable the spellchecker in a protected document.
