    Date format

    Trying to convert data in a field that is fomatted like this 2012-AUG-19 01:00:00 (Normal) to date value 08/19/2012. Any suggestions on how I can do this in a query? thanks!

    The date format you are seeking is called the "Short Date" format in most versions of Access. If you are using the query designer, there is a row in the grid where you can specify format, and you should be able to choose the short date format. Note that if you are using something other than the US date settings on your PC, it my give you the date as DD/MM/YYYY.
