GNU is wrong... nor is it Buffalo or Bison. Clever answer, though. (There, actually, is an OS called GNU, for anyone who didn't know)

Windows 1200. Now, that's very clever, too. Has a nice sound to it, as well. Step up from Windows 883

Good answers; wrong but, v-e-r-w-y clever

Must be this one, or this one!

And here is something to add the the second one.

And here's another one to try guess.....just for a wee bit of fun:

Go on see if you can guess. The answer is on screen, you just need to look for it.

Well, Drew's first one is clearly Windows 8 Release Preview, since he left the disclaimer and build number text in the bottom right corner. His second one might have well been a stock photo from the Harley website, hence my stock photo link.

Re my desktop screen grab: it's neither Win7, nor Win8. Need to look harder and think outside the box.....

The Bar & Shield is a screen shot of an OS Desktop not, just a Harley stock photo... well, maybe it was originally but, in that shot it's a Wallpaper.

    It's Linux Mint

    That's 1 for Drew (teehee)
Did take some careful looking, though

    Cheers,
    Drew

    +1 to Drew

Yes it's Linux Mint running in Virtual Box with the Win2-7 theme pack.

    Minted.JPG

Pretty convincing from a quick glance, but Linux underneath as you can see.

The giveaway on the desktop is the "up-to-date" shield with green tick in the task bar and the shortcuts in Firefox (though I could have removed those). The skin gives a fully functional "start" menu plus Windows Explorer style look and feel.

Would be amusing if somebody developed a Gnome or Unity skin for Windows 8 now wouldn't it. Then we could have real fun playing find the start button

It was the things for Linux Mint, Community, etc on the browser toolbar that did it for me.
