File Name on Master Slide (2000)

I want to have the Filename and Stored location, i.e. C:/Briefs/MakingMoney.ppt, automatically display on the footer of the Master Slide. I can type it in but every time I move the file to another directory or change the version/name of the file I must go into the Master Slide and retype in the new information. How can I automate this process?

Thanks, this worked great. I added the path name to expand where the file is stored.

Now I would like to store it in a location that I can have access to it any time I open PowerPoint. On Excel you can place the module in your Personal.xls and every timme you open Excel that module is available. Does PowerPoint have a Personal.ppt? If so how do I get to it?

Oddly enough, no - there is no personal.ppt file. However, if you add it (the macro) to your blank ppt template it will be available everytime you create a file based on that template.
I've simply created a "macros" file that I open whenever I'm working. I write my macros so that they will run in the active window.
A personal ppt would be a more elegant solution though.
