    System Tray Keeps Disappearing

    Inadvertently my entire system tray will just disappear. What would cause this, and is there a bit more efficient solution than having to log off and back on to bring it back?

    Regards,

    RR;

    I do have that box 'ticked.' But that's supposed to hide the *whole* task bar, isn't it? 'Cause what's happening to me is that when the task bar comes up the system tray [clock etc.] will be gone.

    You could try the solution given here:

    Just be sure to create a system restore point as suggested before you try it.

    Chuck, I use CCleaner to 'fix' my task bar if needed. Tick highlighted item, run CC then open Task Manager, select Explorer.exe and end task, click File, New Task (Run) type explorer.exe & hit enter.

    Chuck,
    if you use CC to do it, ensure you untick it after use.
