    Problem with IP Routing

    Hello there,

we have an Isdn link to our office via a router.

To allow our software support company to dial in I have had to create a static route using the following command:

    route add 172.16.252.0 mask 255.255.255.0 172.16.84.227
172.16.252.0 is their network and 172.16.84.227 is our router.

    This works fine.

How do I go about making that change permanent - any ideas ?

    cheers,

    Adam

The easiest way to do it - create BAT file (text file with .bat extension), put your command into it and locate it in your Startup directory (or create a shortcut in Startup folder pointing to this BAT file).

    Re: Problem with IP Routing

    Hi Adam,
    Use Route -p add 172.16.252.0 mask 255.255.255.0 172.16.84.227
and the route should persist even when you reboot.
    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
