    Congrats Ted!

Assisted by some good old fashioned NFL-style tackling inside the 18-yard box too!

From both teams. It certainly was hard fought. I am normally not an enthusiastic soccer (football to you) fan, but during the Olympics I enjoy watching most sports. Heck most sports we here in the US only see once every 4 years. This was the first soccer match I have watched from start to finish. (except during a 8 minute period when the first goal was scored, our feed was down, boooo). I saw the last 40 minutes of the US / Canadian match, which went greater than 120 minutes. Quite honestly, I never realize how exciting these matches can be. I was sitting here yelling as much as I do when watching my favorite NFL team (NY Giants)

The soccer match was special to us in Rochester because this is Abby Wambach's home town.

Fantastic Ted! The town must be very proud.

We went to see the opening match with USA playing France at Hampden Park in Glasgow and have to say that USA were the better side in the tournament.

It was a hard fought match last night though and either side could have won.

If it weren't for several great saves by Hope Solo, the same thing could have happened as last year's World Cup with the final decided by penalty kicks. In that match an excellent Japanese team beat the US. I think I saw the end of that match as well. Like I said, I do enjoy various sporting events.

There were very tense moments in our household. The Japanese players are excellent at ball control and had several great chances. Like I said if not for several great saves, who knows.
