Explorer shows pictures as icons only

    Hi all,

When I use the Explorer Preview feature, I can click on doc's, pdf's, etc and see a preview of the document in the right pane. When I click on a picture of any type, I just get an Icon in the preview pane.

I've tried file associations with no luck.

    Ideas?

    Windows 7 32 bit, SP1.

Perhaps you previously disabled thumbnails for speed at Tools, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings, Files and Folders, Always show icons, never thumbnails?

That was it Bruce! Didn't see that in the instruction manual I got with Windows...

Thanks Bruce for the folder tip

I got the W7 manual but it was written in Latin and many of the words were misspelled.

Your tip fixed my folder icon problem too.

    cheers,

It's well known that Microsoft had a problem with the spellchecker when writing the Latin version of the manual for Fenestrae VII. Hopefully, a fix will be on the way
    for Fen VIII.
