    External hyperlink to Excel 2010 worksheet

    This has probably been asked many times before, but the answer I found doesn't seem to work.

    How can I create a hyperlink in Word or Outlook to a particular worksheet of an Excel 2010 workbook? This is the format that I tried:

    { HYPERLINK "C:\\My Documents\\MyExcelFile.xls#MySheet!A1" }

    The workbook opens, but not the specified worksheet. What can I do from Word or Outlook?

    bjg1,

    I tried this and it worked just fine. Here's the Hyperlink dialog box.

    Here's what it looks like when you use Alt-F9 {show fields}

    However, when you hold your cursor over the hyperlink it looks like this:

    Note: The workbook has 8 sheets and I opened it to the second one.
