Question Odd URL Preventing IE9 from Going Back to Previous Page

Every so often, clicking the back arrow in IE9 or the back button on my mouse doesn't work. When I right click IE9's back button to see previous pages, I get a list of numerous duplicate URLs. Here's a sample URL:

    http://view/adtmt.com/DEV/iview.3972402

I did try the link but it brought me to a 'IE9 cannot display this webpage' message.

Don't have this problem with Chrome.

Tried all the spyware/malware scans but nothing found. It's a nuisance of course but not as bad as the 'redirect' problem. I'm certain it's not the current page I happen to be on because it has happened while I'm here and other good sites.

    Anyone seen this?

Usually caused by third-party ad links on the page: IE 9 invisible pages

Do you have anything installed at Tools, Manage Add-ons, Tracking Protection?

Not sure what you mean by your question.

What he is mentioning is Tracking Protection. You can download anti-tracking (for lack of a better description) lists to your browser:

Yes, I do have Add-ons and Tracking Protection installed. This may not be the best solution but someone on another board had this problem and solved it by turning off the pop-up blocker. I tried that and haven't had the problem for two days.

Some web pages will have a Continue link inserted jsut before the new page. If you right click on the back arrow, you will see Continue as the first option. Click on the one before that to get back to the previous page.
