    Need help w/duplicate data

I have an Excel 2007 workbook, with col A containing stock symbols and a data value in col B.
I want to eliminate the duplicates in col A and also remove the adjacent data in Col B at the same time.
I'm not too swift in Excel, so I would appreciate any help offered.
    Thanks,
    Dick
    PS,
    Col A is called Symbol
    Col B is called Staegr

If you're running 2010, select the data, then from the DATA tab, click on Remove Duplicates and select the column containing the stock symbols. Hope this helps.

I'm running 2007. I tried that, and it doesn't remove the adjacent col B when it deletes a dup in col A.
    Thanks for responding.

Are you selecting all of the data including the adjacent column and column headers? See the picture I added to the earlier post.

The duplicates are removed, but the first instance is retained.

Yes, I was selecting all of the data including . . .
When I followed what your picture (worth a thousand words) was showing, it worked.
Thanks for hanging in with me.
    Best,
    Dick
