Access violations errors 32 bit

i wasn't sure where to post this so i stuck it here. i am running IE5.5 on win98. its a gateway pentium pro g180. since i have upgraded IE i seem to be getting more of these messages. The messages come from MCAfee running in the background. now when i hit autofix i can proceed but i get these messages concurrently and it is very annoying. why am i getting these and how can i "rid the varmints away".

    Thanks

would this have to do with having a fat32 versus fat16 system or applications. i know that if your system is set to fat32 that there are some applications that won't run as expected. Could MCAfee be one of these?
