    Avira Updates

Have you heard any issues about Avira's latest update causing BSOD??
The latest update from them to my system caused this to happen, from missing drivers. I have a WIN XP Pro system.
I can't get a response other than a canned one from their tech dept.
I've sent them what they've asked for 3 times (system files log), no replies.
Wasn't Avira recommended here a while back??
    I'd change that now.

    Thanks in advance

    Jeff

There are no official recommendations, for Avira or any other programs. Members can personally state their preferences, and that's how any member's post, regardless of official capacity, should be understood, on the Lounge.

I don't use Avira and I have stated my preference for other AV products, but I would say cases of issues resulting from security product updates are not that uncommon, unfortunately.
