W7 UAC wont allow XP virtual install... Error Msg.

    Hi,

Below is the error msg I receive when installing W7 XP virtual along with indicated UAC setting set at "Never Notify".

Why am I not getting sufficient access rights. How do I get enough rights to go forward?

    cheers,

Some people were able to overcome this by removing Windows Virtual PC as a feature and then adding it again: (Solved) - Virtual XP can't be created as administrator

    Not logical, but possibly practical?

    Thanks to Bruce

    Bruce,

Thanks for the quick reply & suggestion. I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work, I'll call MS, it's a new PC & paid xtra for W7 pro so I could do this. Checked many websites and 1/2 dz local tech's all said it was a P.O.C.

    So much for the experts.

    cheers,
