Secunia Personal Software Inspector 3.0 - Doesn't know it's out of date!

    The title says it all.

I've used Secunia PSI for a long time - maybe since it was first released.
I'm sitting here running ver 2.0 and they're up to 3.0.

...and this is software that's supposed to check what program versions you're using, and it doesn't know about itself!

It does a very good job tracking what i have installed, and even updating a lot of it itself. But it's clueless that it needs some of it's own medicine.

Secunia tracks programs that have security issues or are out of the regular support cycle (end of life, they say). It's not an app to monitor which apps have more recent versions, it is meant, as I see it, as a program that monitors programs that are outdated in a way that can raise security concerns for your systems. I guess they do not worry about their own app, as probably any version will monitor the security status of your apps effectively.

Of course, it would be best if they let you know there are more recent versions, but they are already providing a lot of value for free...
