    Adobe Reader doesn't open from an e-mail

    Adobe Reader stopped working, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. All copies were deleted before reinstalling. Since the reinstall pdfs sent in e-mails don't open - Reader opens with a gray page. If I copy the link into another program, and click Open with Reader it opens perfectly. There are some instances where the link cannot be copied, or on some web pages when there is no way to view the pdf.
    I hope someone has a solution.

    Are you using an email client? Have you made other changes to your system recently?

    I use Outlook for e-mail. No other changes have been made.

    Are both Outlook and Reader up-to-date with patches?

    Yes. I was also always able to open pdfs until Reader stopped working, and had to be reinstalled.

    By stopped working, do you mean the same symptoms you are seeing now - just a gray page?

    Uninstall Adobe Reader, delete the Adobe Reader program and config folders on your hard drive (and in your Windows profile), reboot, then reinstall Adobe Reader.
