    Alphabetical sort

I'm using Win 98 with Office 2000. I've created a list of my audio tapes using 3 columns-A (artist), B (song title) & C (tape # and side). I hit the sort A-Z button and everything is sorted fine except about 12 items that insist on appearing above the A entry. There is a B item, a D item, a M item, a number of G items (all sorted correctly), and a number of S items (also sorted correctly). I've manually made the corrections and saved them. When I add more items to my list and hit the sort button, these same culprits appear where they're not supposed to be. HELP!!!!!

    Re: Alphabetical sort

Check and see if these entries have a leading zero.

Thanks Rory! The space was the problem.
