    I have a form that captures da (Outlook 98)

    I have a form that captures data to Access97. When the User sends the message it captures the date/time and writes it to a dB. My problems that when they mail the form to the next person it will over write the privious time to the time they open the form. Tried this in the Item_open section.

    If Rst.Fields(29) = "" then
    Rst.Fields(29).Value = Now()
    Else
    End if

    How can I capture the time in Item_Open or Item_send so it will only capture it the first time and not the second or third time.

    I'm not sure what the code block is referencing. But I think if you are trying to work with a user-defined Outlook field you need to use something like:

    ValueToTest = " item.userproperties.find("FieldNameGoesHere")
