    Migrating user profiles

I have a Win Server 2003 server running terminal services and just got new Win Server 2008 servers running RDP. Is there an easy way to migrate the user profiles from 2003 over to 2008?

    Thank you for your help.

    Welcome to the Lounge!!!

See if Migrate AD users from 2003 to 2008 or Local User and Group Migration Guide help.

    Looking for...

    Thanks for your reply, Joe.

Instead of the users AD or local accounts, I'm looking for a way to get the users Favorites and Outlook profiles moved from the current 2003 servers over to the 2008 servers.

Neither the old 2003 or the new 2008 servers are domain controllers...just RDP boxes.

    Thanks,

    ~ Michael

The Outlook profile is just a registry hive.
    Favorites are a folder.
Copy the folder to the new server after the user has logged on once - this creates the folder structure.
If you create a registry export in the user's home folder you will be able to import it when they first log in to the new TS.

    cheers, Paul
