    Question XP TurnOff and Restart

I have noticed that several of my XP computers (both desktop and laptop) will no long turnoff or restart when I use the "start button" and then the turn off option.
They will go to standby that way, but not the other. Has there been any reports of this phenomena ???

    Try
    run msconfig
    click on start tab
    click on Disable all
    close msconfig
reboot and see if you can now perform a restart.
If so, enable startup itemsone at a time until you find the culprit.
