    Easy reformat/reinstall Win 7

I'm going to follow Mr. Langa's instructions on how to do an easy Windows reformat/reinstall. However, I guess I'll have to print the entire article which might use up an ink cartridge since I'll need a hard copy to read. Has anybody done the suggested easy reinstall and, of so, did you have problems with it you can share? ec

    Hi,

I have done the Windows 7 non destructive reinstall - I guess that's the one you are addressing. An important recommendation is that you be patient as it can take quite some time, depending on how many programs you have installed.

If you can, image before you do it. Also, have any CDs or DVDs with drivers ready, if you have them.

    activation files?

After reading Langa's instructions, apparently Win7 doesn't use activation files that XP used: wpa.dbl & wpa.bak Yes?
I have "reactivated" XP s couple of times by copying these files back to windows/system after XP gave me the activation nag.
