    Family 3 licenses. W-7.

    This is a repeat.

I have purchased a year (?) ago, a DVD of W-7 for three computors, I installed one here and got one for my sister, thus I am left with one key.

This last week, I wanted to redo this old ASUS P4 that had the first key, when time came to enter it, it was refused. Was there a time period to use these keys ? I do not mean the time allowed to purchase this DVD, I still have it in my mits and would like to know where the stump is ? I got around this in a funny "illegal" way but then I contacted MS auto validation site on a phone call and it got validated. Go search ! JP.

    Hi Jean,

Give Microsoft a call. They are usually very supportive.

    Regards

    Rui, good evening.

    >>> Give Microsoft a call. They are usually very supportive.

I thought of this, I can not find the number again. It was offered to me when trying to validate the machine but I opted for the automatic process and it worked. I tried to find them again in a Validation app, no such luck. Should I push my luck ?

My question was about the keys not being valid anymore. Have you heard of anything in this regard ? Be good. Jean.

    Hi Jean,

Key validation issues occurred once with me, but the license was "very old", not like yours.

I guess you can probably find a support number for Microsoft in their website. Maybe give it a try.

    Regards.

    Téléphone.

Medico, good show. I will give them a dingle today. JP.

Rui, thanks for the moral support. As per usual. Jean.

Problem solved, not really ! This DVD is for Upgrade install not clean install. I should consider myself lucky to have been able to get it going in the first place, even if it took a bit a wizardy. 1 for me, 0 for MS !

Next time, I will select the French site, this citizen of India had such a strong accent I could hardy understand him. Such is life !

There have been times that, even after staying on hold for quite some time, I have had to hang up. I just could not get my point across, and I could not understand a word he was saying. I just could not continue.
