    No Win7 disks

I am not familiar with the restore/reinstall options that I have with a new used HP 2510p netbook that came with Win7 Ultimate installed and activated, but with no disks of any kind. The pc has an original coa for Vista. I have no contact with the seller and am trying to figure out what to do if I have an os problem. There is a 100 MB pri partition called System Reserve that is marked active. And the second is the C partition. Any suggestions?

    A couple of things.

First download the Win 7 ISO file (with SP1) and burn the ISO file to disk. (Right click the ISO file and choose Burn Image to Disk)

Second install an app that will show you the Win 7 key on your PC. Be sure to write this key down exactly as shown.

This will give you a valid Win 7 installation DVD and the valid Win 7 key for your Ultimate installation.
