Visible control in reports (Access 2000)

I have found out that if i give a command froma form to make a control visible, it doesnt work.
Does anybody knows about that and what shall i do?

    Here is an example:

    DoCmd.Openreport "Invoice", acPreview,strLinkcriteria
    Reports![Heading].Visible = True

On opening the report, the control Heading is not made visible.

I avoid this problem by some code in the OnOpen event of the report, but i am interested to know
is it possible to give the commands out of the form.

I will be grateful for any advice

Re: Visible control in reports (Access 2000)

The problem is that the report is already open at the point where you're trying to change the visibility of the control, and you can't change design elements of a report after it's open.
