    MS Project 2010: Starting task on given weekday

    Dear Loungers,

    is there a way to say that a task must, for example, start on a Monday?

    For the record the solution is this:

    1. Create a Calendar with only Monday as the working day call it something like "Start on Monday"
    2. Create a Milestone that uses this calendar call it something like "Force Start on Monday (taskX)", make sure it has a non-zero duration.
    3. Make the milestone have identical predecessors to TaskX (the one you want to start on Monday).
    4. Make the milestone a predecessor (FS) of TaskX.

    It does mean that you have to create a "forcing" milestone for each task you want to force.
