MS Access 2010 Chart X-Axis Scale Problem

    Hi All,

I have created a chart in a MS Access 2010 Report to show an account balance over time.

    The report looks like this:

    20121021 Balance Chart Error - Report.jpg

However if you look closely you'll note that the Report From/To dates do not agree with those shown on the chart, in particular the chart does not extend to the To date.

Going to Design mode the screen looks like this:

20121021 Balance Chart Error - Report in Design mode.jpg

This chart looks the same as the report - the error persists.

Clicking on the Chart produces the following:

    20121021 Balance Chart Error - Chart Data.jpg

You will note that the chart shown the full date range from the the Period From / To dates and the data table includes data for the whole period.

Any ideas on why the X-Axis truncates?

    Cheers

    Hi All,

158 Views of this topic and no one has commented.

Has no one else never experienced this problem?

I'm still looking for clues to solve this problem.

Any suggestions as to where to look will be appreciated.

    Cheers

My guess is that nobody has posted because very few of us use the charting capabilities of Access - in 20 years of developing with Access, I think I've done only one or two charts, and I've not done any in 2010. I typically export the data to Excel and do the charting and graphing there. I suspect you may have found a bug in Access 2010 - have you submitted it to Microsoft?
