Hmmm, I prefer to wait and see what the Surface Pro is like. I will most likely wait for a while to see if there are any bugs in the H/W as well.

Me, too, Ted. If I was ever interested in getting such a thing, certainly, would be the Pro.

Just thought the article was an interesting little piece.

    Cheers,

I read that the Surface RT pre-sold out , I believe it was in the UK. It seems there is a large demand for it.

Sorry, I came back to this thread after a few hours, and seeing the article again elsewhere, and did not look at it again before my last post. Of course this is where I originally saw it.

Things seem to blend together after a while. My bad! LOL

If I be any indication, ???, I will go Pro at 32 GBs and with a Type screen. I am not fixed yet on this choice, Touch vs Type, I would like to test them both first. I would not consider this a computor sans a KB.

I think the Ram limit on the Surface Pro is reported to be 8 Gb, and the Surface Pro will be available in 64 Gb or 128 Gb SSD HD versions.

Edit: I might be wrong, according to Paul Thurrott the max Ram for Pro is 4 GB. I thought I read somewhere it was 8 Gb but I believe I am mistaken.

If cost is an issue, remember that Surface Pro is likely to cost significantly more $$$ than Surface RT. It is more likely going to be in the high end consumer notebook, medium price ultrabook range.

I would rather have an ultrabook for the same price than a tablet but that's just me. It will be interesting to see what the Surface Pro battery life is like in comparison to an ultrabook.

Medico, good day. The article in mess # 1 mentions 32 GBs. This is not RAM, it is the size of the SSD. Why this line of posts got bifurcated, I ignore. JP.
