    Didi you try using
    xxxxx.^pxxxxx

    as the search string and
    xxxxx,^pxxxxx

as the replace string? I'm assuming you are using a paragraph mark to end the first line as opposed to a line break.

Welcome to the lounge as a new poster!

In the Word Find and Replace dialog box:
Click the More>> button if it is showing.
    Check Use Wild Cards
Enter the pattern [a-z]{1}[a-zA-Z]{5} in the Find what: box.

This will find a lower case letter followed by any five letters be they Upper or Lower case. If you only want the 5 following characters to be lower case remove the A-Z.

The pattern is known as a regular expression you can search on this for more information.
Here's a link to a quick reference guide.
