Can you disable "Idiot proofing dialogs"?

There are some system "are you sure you want to do this?" dialogs I would like to never see, e.g., when changing a file's suffix (like .exe to .xxx to allow file attachments to survive email system filters) the system asks it I really want to do this, a nusiance I'd like to disable. Is there a way to do this?

Third party renaming program might be a workaround but if its just one or two files at a crack, more nuisance than the original nuisance.

IIRC the command line won't challenge you when using the REN command. LOL
