I have just installed the latest version of Thunderbird on my Win 8 Pro partition because of the problems with Windows Live Mail referred to in my earlier post (Installing Windows Live Mail On A Dual Boot System (Win 7 & Win 8)).
If I download messages in Thunderbird will I be able to download the same messages in Windows Live Mail on my Win 7 Pro partition?
Also, I downloaded the Import/Export Tools for Thunderbird but how do I install this?
Advice would be appreciated.
Thanks and regards,

If you use IMAP you can set it up to keep all mail on the server, it does this by default.
