    out of office assistant (office 2000 sr1)

    I am trying to use the out of office assistant in outlook to automatically send a message that i am gone and when i will return. I am using internet only version and have been told the out of office assistant is in the inbox/tools drop down box. It isn't listed on my tools menu. any ideas of where it might be or how i might accomplish sending such a message when i get mail without the out of office assistant.

    I think you have to have Exchange Server in your profile and be installed in Corporate/Workgroup mode to have this available. You can look up articles Q198184 and Q196808 in the MSKB as an entry point to this.
