Windows media player or any other player will not play my CD,s

Windows media player or any other player will not play my cd's anymore. It says it can't read the disk. This has been working fine for 4 years until I reformatted and reinstalled Vista Ultimat 64. Hace since reformatted and reinstalled again with same results. The cd's will play on 2 XP machines and 1 Win 7 machine using Win Media player. Does anyone have suggestions?

It sound like either your CD/DVD burner/player in the Vista machine is faulty, or you are in need of a codec.

Pretty sure Clint is correct. Here's the Media Player Codec Pack and the popular K-lite Codec Pack 9.4.
