    Propagating permissions

On WinXP, if I change the sharing value on a the root folder, how do I force that value to propagate to all sub-folders?

I just tested doing this but WinXP doesn't seem to propagate the share settings to sub-folders.

Does each sub-folder have to be shared one by one?

Shares automatically allow access to sub-folders, but only if the file / folder permissions allows access.
    1. Check you have granted full permission to "everyone" on the share.
    2. Right click on the folder, select "properties" and "permissions". Check that the users have the permissions they require.
    3. perform step 2 on a sub-folder.

    cheers, Paul
