Quick "How To": Shut Down, Sleep, Restart

There are many shortcuts for Win 8 and these have been kindly listed elsewhere in the Lounge. One that I believe needs its own mention in a stand-alone thread is the (contentious) matter of the "missing" shut down button.

Simply go Alt F4 when on the desktop (not whilst IN an app or other open window) and voila! you have shut down/restart/switch user/sleep/sign out options right in front of you.

Online gamers have been tricking noobs for "centuries" with Ctrl-Alt-F4, promising that it will reveal or unlock some game secret to give them the same advantage everyone else already has.
