    Customize ribbon

    I have a database with the File > Options > Current database > Ribbon and Toolbar Options > "Allow Full Menus" option deselected, which causes the ribbon to display only the File and Home tabs, with only basic functions enabled.

    I want to allow some users to be able to access a couple of functions that are normally on other tabs (e.g., the External Data > Export > Excel option), without just bypassing the startup restrictions altogether. Is there a way to do this (e.g., by adding the Excel option to the Home menu, and having it always enabled there)?

    Yes, you can do that. Do it from File->Options->Customize Ribbon.
