    if statement

    Hi

Im struggling with If statement. I have a spredsheet with time and deadlines. Deadline met depends on lenght of take and actual time taken in minutes. Rule is if length of take is 1-6min then the actual time taken must be 2hrs, if the deadline is met the cell must have Yes, if deadline is not met, the the cell must have No.

Please help, Ive attached a sample.

How do you come about those formulas in F4 & F5. And also they refer to cell $O$4 which is blank, plus they return text values!

    Hi

Probably easier to use a LOOKUP. Or if you don't mind inserting a small table in your sheet or on another sheet, you could even use either a VLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH or even a HLOOKUP.

Might be easier to use: =(($E4-$D4)-$O$4)*24 in F4 to convert your times to decimal, easier to use in your lookup functions. In your column header F3 "Actual time taken (difference) in mins". The result in F4 is 03:39 (hh:mm)!
You will need to take in account negative times for your Rules, as you have a negative value in F5.
