No InStrRev now what (Acces97 SR2)

I'm trying to parse a field, but since I have Access97 I don't have InStrRev.

I need to go from the end of the string to the first occurance of the white space.
Lop that off, go back two more spaces (State), cut that and the rest is gravy.

I guess my main question is:
How do you go backward in a string in Access97?

You can get the zip code with:

    Zip: IIf(Mid([function],Len([function])-4,1)="-",Right([function],10),Right([function],5))
("function" being the name of your field)

    Then the state:
    State: Right(Left([function],InStr([function],[zip])-2),3)

    And the City:

    City: Left([function],InStr([function],[state])-1)

It will need a bit of cleaning up (leading and trailing blanks and semicolons) but it seems to work fairly well.
