Tool tips disappeared (PPT 97 (User form))

All the tool tips for controls *inside* frames on my form have stopped responding. The tooltips on the controls (outside of frames) work properly. I can't see anything different in their definitions.

Tried setting the Order of all the controls -- "Bring to Front" -- but that did not make any difference.

the only thing that I can think that I might have done is to change the Tab Index and Tab Stop property on the controls. Prior to setting the index into their final order, all the tips worked properly.

    Any suggestions?

    Thx

Have you tried sending your frame to the back? Have you got any other objects that overlay your controls? Anything on top of a control will normally suppress tooltips, and frames can be very tricky.

How do I send a frame to the back? The "Order" menu is grayed-out when a frame is selected. I've tried bringing the controls to the front, with no success.

I ended up creating new frames and copying all the controls from the old frames. No idea why they work sometimes and not others. One of life's little mysteries...
