Changing order of names in a column

This may have been asked before, but I don't know how to ask the question on a few words.

I have an Excel 2007 file with names, addresses, etc. in separate columns. Many of the names are in the last name-comma-first name format. Some are not. Is there a way to automate the process of changing those cells with the last name-comma-first name format to first name-last name? I have a few hundred to modify and don't have the patience to do it manually.

    Thanks,
    Art

    Hi lotusfixer4934
Assuming your data is in A1
You could try text to columns > Delimited > Tick comma > Finish. Then join them =B1&" "&A1
    or
    =RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(" ",A1))&" "&LEFT(A1,FIND(",",A1)-1)

This is a couple of methods, if you have middle names as well, a different approach will be required.

Thanks, Kevin. I'll give it a try ASAP. I have to amist that I know almost nothing about the more complicated formulas, so please be patient with me if I have to ask more questions
