    Getting Data into Ms Word

    Please ii need help in reading data from an Ms Project closed file into my word document, please any ideas

    I assume you are trying to do this with VBA. If so, this thread should be moved to the VBA forum.

    Can you tell us more about what you need to do? What data specifically do you need to extract from the Project file? Do you want it as a table in Word?

    Hi Andrew,

    I would like to read out data the ProjectStartDate, ProjectFinishDate, And other task information like the task, TaskStartDate, TaskFinishDate, PercentageComplete etc all in a table, thanks.

    The code that was posted on the ExcelFox forum works fine on my machine so I'm not sure on where the problem might be on your machine. I didn't need to add any references at all to get the code to work although I changed the version number in the connection string because I am using Project 2003.

    Well from research, i found that the OLEDB function is no longer supported in later versions of MS Project after 2003, i use project 2007.
    I already found a way round it though and my code works fine. Thanks for the help.
