We recently upgraded and moved an Access front and back end to a new location. The original backend was a 2000 .mdb and the front end was a 2003 .mde. They both were converted to 2007 .accde files. We have multiple users hitting a single front end. (I know that each person should have their own front end on their PC but that is not going to happen. ) This was moved in the middle of November and has been working fine like it has been for many years. I received a call and some users are getting locked out with the message “Could not lock file.” Everyone is part of the same old user group.
